22% of the people involved in 48% of BF threads need to jump back over to A&S where breathless pearl-clutching is a virtue.
Whether or not he was successful, OP was clearly trying to be funny. Laugh or don't, but seriously. Get a grip.

I don't think bf or general cycling need to be made a safe zone for anti-cycling "humor". There's plenty of those already.
And why is " I was trying to be funny" a defense if you say something really stupid and offensive? He described vandalism of well-designed, convenient bicycle infrastructure as "justice". That's offensive, "joke" or not.

that seems to be a trend here - if you say something offensive or provocative, but it turns out very few people agree with your bs, you just say that you were joking and they have no sense of humor. OP was probably hoping for some some of elitist (the bikes are heavy! and ugly!) or anti-collectivist (dirty subsidized socialist bike share program using public resources!) concurrence with his hatred. but finding none …

I'll skip trying to figure out OP's motivation because frankly, I don't get what OP thinks the joke is--that post is a complete jumble of "this.thing, but the opposite too" kind of writing that just makes no sense at all and certainly doesn't have any recognizable joke structure. I don't think this attacking the sense of humor of the offended person is a new tactic or confined to BF, however, it's the go-to fallback for people who can't defend what was written.

Just found this--wonder what the Braille on the bikes actually said: https://www.washingtonpost.com/trans...-my-e-scooter/
If you can't click on the story, the Braille messages on the e-scooters are who to call if you trip on one.

That's interesting. Blindness, of course, isn't an absolute all or nothing thing. Is it possible to have vision that is too poor to read but good enough to ride? Distance vision (riding) is definitely not the same as close-up (reading).

i wouldn’t be surprised if complete compliance with accessibility would lead to the braille also giving instructions to get a rideshare hail for transportation at similar cost.
