My mom showed me this really, really awesome animated short that accompanies one of my favorite melodies - Sebelius' Valse Triste. Check it out! Super moving.

The one on the bottom right is the one I pulled in December. The other one is completely mint. I did have to pay $8 for that one. ESP was a buck. Minty save a corner crease.

I've been on a stoner metal fix for the past few weeks. This song is a favorite at the moment:

Not really, but he mentioned a couple of groups a while back and I've pivoted off of those on Spotify a bit
I grew up liking metal, but the faster stuff tends to grind on my nerves after about 10-15 minutes these days. Never really looked into this specific sub-genre before, but the slower pace makes for good background music for me that I can actually enjoy for longer periods
Also! Been trying to teach myself some bossa/jazz standard chords on guitar recently. Not super consistent, but I've spent a couple hours so far. Maybe one day I'll be good enough to join a jam sesh

Listening to that Electric Wizard track right now, pretty dope.
Tyler showed up at Fiesta worlds sometime last year (or the year before?) blasting Sleep through some speakers in his jersey pockets. It was pretty metal.
Good on ya for practicing chords! I think I mentioned for starters I could invite you and the wife over to hang out for a music night at some point. Liz would like that.

Not my typical show, but I listened to this guy a lot several years back and figured it was my last chance to see him.
Saw Gordon Lightfoot on his "50 years on the Carefree Highway" tour. Yep, he has been making tunes for that long. 78 years old and his voice is wavering, no projection, less annunciation, but still glad to have finally seen the legend live.

Interesting Wayne Shorter tune, has some cool unison lines with sax, trumpet, and at some points piano:

It's really two songs in one, with the first only lasting 5 min or so, Keith Jarrett's electric piano solo in the second half is nuts!!!

I have Being for the Benefit of Mr. KiteI on loop in my head this morning. It's like I'm at a carnival or something.

Favorite Santana track. Coincidentally it's the "jazz-iest" on the album

I have been having Van Morrison earwigs lately.
That is not a bad thing.
Anyone up for a Moondance?
Unfortunately Brown Eyed Girl reminds me of someone I knew before I met my wife (who I love most immensely).

An old team fortress 2 server used to play on used that sound as an effect when you got a melee (I think) kill. Oh, the memories.
