This would explain why we probably have different ideas about swimming pool use. There's maybe 3 months out of the year when it's NOT warm enough to get in a pool here.

My ascent of the KOM in Innsbruck on Zwift came to an abrupt end, when this happened:
Looks like the axle broke clean through, possibly a while before I noticed it, and then maybe the pedal let go when the pedal body itself broke. I was, of course, standing on it at the time. Luckily this was on the Canyon, not one of my bikes with a standard geometry, so I didn't get my gonads reinserted forcefully into my abdomen.
I did not escape unscathed, of course.
Definitely scathed.
May be time to get some new pedals.
