I tried that, but with the frame on an angle, you have to draw a line between the rear, find its center, then go from front drop to new center point, and then assume that the cocked frame in the photo doesn't impact the seat tube angle. And you have to be accurate within 2.5 degrees, because that is all the difference we are talking about
Anyway, I agree that the angle of the photo affects the measurement but it's definitely not a more road-bike typical 72-74 degree seat tube angle.

money to do as I want, and I want to do the Javelin. Not planning on making it a long distance ride.
I just thought it was a bargain deal on the frame and liked the look. Am seriously looking at the
aero bar thing..

You bought a TT frame; might as well build it up as a TT bike.

Photoshop - straighten tool to level the dropouts, then ruler tool from center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. I got 79 degrees.
Anyway, I agree that the angle of the photo affects the measurement but it's definitely not a more road-bike typical 72-74 degree seat tube angle.

There are several people in the Road Forum that ride flat bar bikes, myself included (also Campag4life), that don't make the AdelaaR type comments. I find a steeper STA makes for a better position for me than a conventional frame, based on the following: if you use a set back seatpost and shoot for KOPS, you get a net result of a longer top tube, which helps push the flat bar grips closer to the length of a conventional drop bar's hoods. My long distance bike is flat bars, with a 74.5 deg STA, and it is amply comfortable. The 77 or 79 of this frame may be too much, but without some play, no one knows.
The earlier post (not from you) about flat bars feeling like you are "falling forward" is non-sense. Designed correctly, your weight distribution is still over the pedals, and you have no more weight on your hands. And even on a TT full rig, the brake levers are on a flat bar, so obviously the bars are reachable and not debilitating even without a set back seat post.

It seems like someone posted pictures of a Pinarello Dogma with riser bars here a couple of months back, no?

One problem I have is my favorite seat is no longer available. Zefal gel. I have done several
century's with no thought of the seat or affected areas. Going to have to find something
close. Also going with a double seat mount cage for the bottles.

As for the saddle: look on ebay for that saddle. I've had VERY good luck finding my favorite and once-discontined (now back in production) saddle on ebay and managed to outfit all my bikes plus have one spare.... for pretty cheap.

Found a C9 saddle at the bike shop that is very close to mine, gel and all, give it a try.
I am going with the straight bars, shorten a little, MB shifter and brakes and a nice
set of aero bars adjustable riser. Wheels and tires came today.

Well, I road it today. If you can call it that! It is 36`f, light rain, mixed with sleet.
I road it in the bike shop. In a space about 50X20'. Had to cut the seat post off a
bit more. Basically a non adjustable item. The seat tube is only about six, seven
inches deep. The main seat tube is aero, the part the post goes in is round and
has a bottom.
Ended up with 34X50 on the front and a 32X11 on the rear, because I had the
rear on hand and we used it. It may get changed later, or soon?? Straight bars
with aeros, did not get to use the aeros in the shop.
The 28's fit fine, but a 28.5 would not, and some brands 28's may not fit.
I have a set of 25's on hand for later, the 28's will fit two of my other bikes.
Double bottle holder on the seat. Found a small bag with quick release
because you can't get to the zipper with the bottle holder on the seat.
The front derailleur was a pain, it is frame specific and there seemed to be
only one in the county.
With the bottle holder and bag, no tools, it came out at 20lbs exact.
I could have gotten lighter tires and wheels, but I don't plan on
racing, just fun ridding. And the bike is way beyond my fittness
level. With my upright hybrid I am a good fifteen mile per hour
rider, I hope to pick up a couple mph with this bike.
With my Salsa I can do sprints to about 30mph, but not for long.
I will post some pictures and report on the ride asap.
