I know I will a couple years from now, at the moment, not even considering upgrades to the bike... upgrading some accessories though, well, I must confess that I have a little of that goin on... need an additional pair of shorts and a couple shirts and a pair of decent (yet cheap) glasses... would like to upgrade my $16 cateye strada wired next season, but no urgency to that...

Half Fast
I just spent a few hundred dollars on wheels, seat, pedals and shoes. All but the shoes were bargains - used and in good condition.
Now I'm out of money, and magically my upgrade fever is gone!
It's time to do some more work on the engine

I'm this....I only have one pair of shorts as I've torn/worn a hole in the other 2. My commuting bike needs an overhaul so riding it (and the gym/basketball style shorts) isn't an option at the moment.
I've also decided I want to take a picture when I get to the top of the hills I climb, so I need another bag so my phone/camera is more at the ready rather than risk losing something as I fumble around in my saddle bag.

Thankfully, I like my bikes dead-stock and as original as possible. So basically all of my upgrade decisions are made for me. What came on the bike is what goes on the bike. My only "upgrade" decisions are replacing incorrect parts (sometimes a down-grade back to what was original), tires, accessories, and whatever saddle I'm currently riding.
If I didn't use factory spec's as a goal upgrading my bikes I'd never stop spending, so it's self-preservation.

I know I suffer from it. But I'm also new to cycling so I'm just trying to increase my inventory. Every paycheck I allot myself one bicycling item.

Just bought a sweet set of wheels for my Rivendell, other than that I think I am set at the moment. Not really lusting after anything.

Those of you who claim to not want or need anything for your bike(s), I demand to see your BF 41 membership card as proof that you are not lying

Pretty happy with what I have right now. Though, if I miraculously won the lottery without buying a ticket, that might change.

you guys!
you definitely have upgraditis if you say, "i just upgraded my bike, so now i don't want to upgrade it."
that's like saying, "i don't eat meat... when i'm not eating dinner."

I've got every bike I need to last me the rest of my life. (Well, probably...)

I'm not just suffering with Upgraditis, I have a serious infection of it. But I may not be cured until next Income tax time. I would like to move up to the carbon club. Right now, I'm riding a bike that many here would consider a toy. My new aluminum Motobecane Mirage Sport I bought from BD.
But hey, I get a good workout riding it.

No upgrade-itis here since I've swapped saddle, pedals, and bar and stem, to replace worn or broken equipment or get a better fit. When I get I like to re-tape the handlebar. Cheapest upgrade I know.
I am addicted to building wheels, though. Built tubulars for my Giant TCR because I didn't have any, and this winter I plan to build clinchers for my ancient Masi, around a pair of pristine Shimano 600 hubs I pulled out of the trash.
If I won the lottery I'd probably do something really dumb, like trying to build a Factory 5 roadster in my garage.

I do not have upgrade fever and ride a 2006 Allez. The more I ride it, the less I feel the need to upgrade.
