Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You know there is a thread to post your bike in there. You don't need to start a whole new thread for it. You havn't accopmlished any thing special by buying a pre assembled bike. BTW having a sore ass after 10mls is the sure way to keep the bar tape crystal white for a while.

Unnecessary hostility in this post.

He bought a bike that he's excited about and made a thread about it. Don't take it personally.

Can we expect this rubbish every time someone posts about a new bike?

Nice bike OP. Ride it in good health.

"SOMEONE has a case of the mondays!" - haha hate that quote. but yea, unnecessary hostility. theres tons of posts out there from people who bought new bikes in separate threads...not only did he buy a new bike, he's new to the sport.

Welcome

Great looking bike. I had the same problem for the first week (my butt getting use to the saddle). After about two weeks I didn't notice the numbness or pain. That or you can swap out saddles for something with a little bit more padding.

Thanks guys I appreciate the welcome. I am drowning in a sea of information, brand names, and dos and don'ts... its going to be fun getting up to speed. 10 miles on day 1, 25 miles on day 2, and today was my first day going to work on the bike... very very cool. Don't worry about guys like UCIMBZ,there are guys like him on all forums. Did I say I made some massive accomplishment by buying a prebuilt bike? No.. im just excited to start in this sport and wanted to show off the Cannondale sexyness See you guys on the road!

Very nice looking bike! You know, the main thing I like about Cannondales is that they look like bicycles. No weird curves in the frame or zig-zags in the seat-stays. It looks classic, yet modern.

hot? What did it break 80 up there??!! Now down in Dallas...it was pretty hot there for a while. Seriously though, great bike. Be sure to tack on your miles slowly. You definately have a far better starter bike than what most of us had/have.

Nicely done!

If your butt continues to hurt, maybe time to think about getting a saddle better suited to you. No sense riding in pain.

I don't know, but I like the curves in my 2012 Bianchi Infinito.

Your SuperSix is the more affluent and athletic cousin to my Synapse Alloy. I know the feeling of being giddy at this time because it's still your honeymoon, but may I just remind you to be extra safe out there. We don't want anything to happen to you and your new bike which might cause you to lose that high feeling about cycling. Rack up the miles, enjoy the great outdoors, and stay safe.

One thing I want to know -- does anyone on here own this bike:

It is my favorite looking Cannondale, but I've never actually seen any photos of it. The only thing that would make it better is if they replaced the Rival shifters with SRAM Red Orange shifters
