Look at all the smoke that has blown in from the fires in the foothills and the Sierra's.
It was a warm climb but it was really nice with no wind for the descent.

Still no Spiders but a bunch of Cotton tails hopping all over.

Thurday night hill climb

Just a bit cooler than the last few days so it made for a great ride to the summit.

This is looking out at Oakland Hills and San Francisco.

The T-Storms are developing and heading in.

Interesting rock formation.

@Kaminokaze, just wanted to say thanks for all the wonderful pics. I grew up in Tracy, and still love the coastal hills. I occasionally swipe one of your pics for my desktop.

Tuesday Night Ride

What a magical night on the Mtn.

I can't believe it's already Aug 8th and still no Spiders yet. I used to find them in late July. Has anyone else seen any?

These are all pretty good quality photos, what device/camera is being used? I can't imagine people are riding up with digital cameras, so are these all phone camera shots? More impressive than my Samsung that's for sure, lol!

I just carry my HTC 10. Clean the lens on my jersey before taking the photo if it's not too sweaty. The Key to most people and cell phone photos is they don't clean the lens. So most get hazy soft looking photos with lots of Glare.

I have an action cam that records video and I get blog-quality stills from that. Not Hi-Res but I capture a lot of stuff that I never would be able to with a manual camera. BTW I saw TWO tarantulas Wednesday night... order has been restored to The Mountain.

I did a graph of today's Vuelta a Espaņa stage vs Diablo. Can you imagine doing a Summit worth of
climbing in a Junction worth of distance? Also... in the rain.

Touch of Fall was in the air.

Cool Night ride to Oyster Point. I had to break out the arm warmers. I guess the knee warmers and base layers are coming soon.
Golden Hills of late summer/fall

Oh, it looks so far from here.

That's not the middle of nowhere

That's not the middle of nowhere! That's the gateway to Brentwood; otherwise known as the Paris of the San Joaquin River delta.
