This is an interesting one. "Light" TV was kinda like the Hallmark Channel, I guess. Then about a month ago it changed into "The Grio", which seems to be playing nothing but Blaxploitation flicks everytime I tune in.
Display Channel: 10-4 Digital Channel: 10.5 Callsign: Light Nickname: The Grio

I listened to Native American music most of one day driving back from Wenatchee:
https://nezpercesystems.com/kiye-radio/
Kinda reminded me of driving US 666 up in northern AZ back in the day, driving across the desert listening to the Native American station. The AZ experience was a little more intense though; they had very few DJ interruptions, and the practically non-stop pow-wow tunes would put you in a trance as you stared out at the 2-lane blacktop stretching out before you.

I gave up cable TV in 2007 or so. That cable company had limited basic cable for $5 more than just plain internet, and that package didn't have any music stations at all.
It was kinda rough in Rock Springs, since we only got 3 TV stations OTA there. Here in PHX, there's a LOT available OTA.

There was a pop-ish song a few years back that had native American type chanting in it. I liked it but I never knew who it was.

Well that's just great. The last update screwed the photo gallery up to the point of non function. There aren't any options in the uploader to get to pictures, only albums. But I also can't get pictures to move to the albums now either.
Every damn day it's something else. Fml.
Anywho... 287 wph @ innsbruk yesterday.. restdays...who could have guessed?
My back was screwed yesterday. So naturally I said to myself..."Self! (that's how I address me when we're on speaking terms) What our back needs is a good old hard day of climbing!" And like magic back is 95% better today. I really hate it when that idiot is right, he'll be impossible to live with now.

Fixed. Just saying, as outsiders we can never be sure without consulting authorized spokespersons.

This all falls under convenience, which was the first thing that I conceded (though it could provide a potentially interesting conversation about how the method of media consumption may have influenced media output... Is there less of a focus on albums as a conceptual whole in favor of popping out one good song, two mediocre and misc dreck filling the rest of the 45 minutes?). I'm primarily interested in and discussing how engaging the playback is.
I'd say 95% of my music listening is full albums. Typically (at least on my iPod) I'll let it play on shuffle until I hear something I like and then I'll just go listen to that whole album. Otherwise if I'm at my computer I can browse through my collection until something catches my eye.

Man, FedEx just seems to be trying to piss me off. I ordered some stuff that shipped out of WA on Thursday and it's spent Fri - today bouncing around a few SLC suburbs. They say it's still scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Overall I like my record collection a lot but one album in particular sticks out as being kind of annoying. I can't remember which one it is exactly but it's a full length record spanning four sides - the only issue is that it's fairly short for a full length so each side is only like 10 minutes. Kind of annoying having to switch sides so quickly and so often, it really kills any kind of flow the album has.

Daughter sent a couple of boxes of stuff here when she moved out of Galway. She paid extra for a required signature. DHL dumped on box on the steps and took off without ringing the bell. Then they claimed we weren't home for the other one. Their local drivers are really malignant and several have tried to kill me on the bike.

I do have a couple records that have 3 sides, so I know that's an option that they didn't decide to use. On those I particularly enjoy that they used the empty side to do some artwork

I ordered some stuff from Pactimo last week. USPS had it leaving Denver on the 23rd and arriving back in Denver yesterday. One does expect better of FedEx.

Side note: I really like Meddle, and Fearless is one of my favorite Floyd songs.

And then there is Amazon. Last night the driver dropped these packages in the shrubs outside my office. It was after hours and nothing was open. Plainly visible from the street and the drive into the office park.
The only reason I caught it was I checked the delivery status because they were scheduled for delivery today. The Amazon site said "delivered to a secure location." Had to go back to the office or they would have stayed there overnight. Or not.
