Maybe you guys can help me understand something. I am planning a ride for tomorrow that is 80 miles. However, the starting point is about 10 miles from my house, so of course I riding to/from the start for a full century. I suggested this to the other 5 riders who will be joining me and NONE of them are interested. They think 80 is plenty. I don't get it.

Fixed for BillyD . . . I mean the endless churning your legs thing loses it's cachet rather quickly here.

went for a ride this morning, exploring the new route. I’ve been spoiled up to this point, at my old house I was on mostly back roads so the roads were wide and cars were scarce. At the new house, I am having to ride on busy roads with no shoulder for about the first 5 miles. After that I have access to a “bike lane” which is essentially the shoulder with a bike painted on it every 50 feet. Tomorrow I plan on riding the capital trail. This connects Williamsburg to Richmond, and is 100 miles round robin. I’m not sure if I will do the whole thing, it depends on how early I wake up.
Does garmin varia work only with garmin products, or would it work with a wahoo. Until I can get that I am def going to need to get a mirror.

It's so smokey here it's ridiculous. If it's like this tomorrow I won't ride, at least not here.
