Charlotte is a blessing and a curse. In one hand you can walk the whole airport in 15 mins or less. You don’t have to catch a bus or train to get to another terminal.
On the other hand it is completely over crowded, no room to walk, and don’t even get me started on trying to taxi around that airport if you are late.

We had a good ride. It was cold for the first hour or two, but the sun was kind and it went above freezing for the last hour or so. There were lots of small ice patches, but only 3 times we had to stop and walk across the ice.
One of the newer riders works for an airline, I know he travels for work but don’t know if he works in the cabin or the cockpit. Today, I said “good thing you don’t work for Southwest….”
He replied he DOES work for them! Oops.
So I said “shouldn’t you be working now instead of riding?”
He said the problem is not staffing per se but the antiquated and obsolete reservation system they use.

Man, I shoulda drove up to Flag yesterday so I could enjoy some winter wonderland today. They're shoveling the walks at the brewpub so theoretically burgers and beers are available...

when I traveled for work I flew on SW a lot...I mean A LOT! The only thing worse was Spirit. Although, AA kicked me off a flight in Chicago (due to weather) once and I had to drive home from there. That was bad.

Today I climbed the hill behind the house and descended a dirt road a few miles west. I used to do this loop every Wednesday but since the Tuesday ride started I'm too tired to do the climb. I was too tired today but did it anyway. There were clouds coming and going and it made for some odd pictures.
First stop looking back toward the house.
Little further up the sun started to break through.
Turning 180 degrees there is no cloud and the fire station at the top is where those trees are.
Another strange pic further up when a cloud rolled over.
