Okay, after blowing my back out on the 14th (at work no less), crawling wasn't even possible the first couple of days (and this is with some good drugs), I managed to get back on the bike today....

Distance 6.5km (4 miles)....
Total Time 0:23

It isn't much, but man it felt gooooooood.

35.82 miles in 2.5 hrs. Fast, but short due to a busy week at work.

Another good week

92.6 miles 9.6 hours in the saddle

I did however kill my a carbon fiber seat post. It kept creaking and I kept tightening (don't do this) until we got a little nick in it so now we have an aluminum one. This one also creaked and figured out why the first one creaked. Oh well it came with the bike and I was suspicious of it anyway. I kept the carbon post and will screw it to the garage wall as a trophy.

Well I was able to get in a couple of rides this week. The first two were interupted by gigantic rain drops and only 9 laps of the neighborhood combined, but got in 21.1 last night on the rode and is my back sore. A three week layoff where you can't stretch properly is a killer. But it felt good and I will be able to get in a few more rides before my knee is scoped. Here's to a quick recovery.

So for the week 28.88 \ 1:51:14

Well I wouldn't say that, just a little confusion on the run dates. Nice job on the miles.

Not a good week: 43.65 miles, 3:06 in the saddle. I would have ridden more, but:
  • I had a rock in my shoe.
  • The sun was in my eyes.
  • There was an earthquake.
  • And a flood.
  • And a tornado.
  • And a tsunami.
  • All of the above.
Clearly, I spent more time this week thinking of excuses than actually riding.

128 miles. I guess that was probably about 6 hours. I did a race, well a bit more than 1/3rd of a race before being forced out due to a mechanical.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.
