Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Agree. But we may want to move into "town" and that may mean a shared wall. You have to be really careful with neighbors in that case.

I've got a lost and found story. In high school, I borrowed a friend's Austin Healey 3000 and was driving it around at night when the gas pedal disconnected. I pulled over near a freeway overpass and just then a huge pickup pulling an even bigger enclosed car trailer stopped in front of me. A guy got out an asked about the problem, got some tools and parts and connected the linkage. He said he was off to race at Laguna Seca. After he left i noticed a wallet next to the car. It was stuffed with money and cards. I found his address and drove to his house a few miles away. His wife was very grateful. I'm not sure if he found out it was missing or she had to drive to Monterey.

Depends. If you’re talking an old city row home, they are thick. I rarely hear what’s going on through the walls of the houses on either side of me.

The worst of the storm is missing me to the west right now. We're getting some intermediate light rain, no wind at all. To my west, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania are getting clobbered right now, particularly that stretch between Allentown and Stroudsburg as well as the surrounding area. They might be breaking out the canoes about now.

We may get nailed later on, looks like it’s supposed to pass directly over us.

My pre-surgery labs show low levels of RBC, HGB and HCT -- 3.79, 12.1 and 35.9 respectively. Is there any wonder I never feel like getting on a bike? I have no idea what's going on other than that my mitochondria are just not getting enough fuel to these mighty turbines.

They couldn't get enough traction to catch up app-wise to where people wanted to be, and so even larger companies like banks gave up. However, iOS still can't do things that Windows Phone could, like turn the screen off with a few-minute delay before locking. Or display a note on the home screen. They did eventually get around to showing the weather and a few other specific things, so at least they eventually caught up to where Microsoft was many years prior.

The app store was also not a blatant vehicle for microtransactions.

Oh great. The storm knocked power out for our corporate office (which is about 7 miles north of here) so they had to take our electronic medical records system down.

Sad!

The best thing to happen to mobile phones for me is a fingerprint unlock. The worst thing is the ever-increasing screen size, and I've even got fairly large hands.

Funny thing is, as I get closer to retirement age, I've been thinking of moving somewhere cheaper, and having a larger yard!
