CCRT Vernal Ride N + m
It is spring, or at least it is starting to begin to commence thinking about initiating it. That means it is time to start thinking about the spring CCRT ride.
Saturday Apr 14 is the only day we can make it. (On Sunday I will be flying to Germany.) So we will ride the CCRT even if no one else can. My neighbor Larry has expressed interest too. (He has a nice Serrota/Serotta, circa 1990 I think.)
Anyone else? Sign up now before it is too late! It's free! It slices, it dices, it runs through lovely and varied terrain, with virtually no hills (except a few bridges). The awesome Chocolate Sparrow is an awesome stop near the middle In each direction! Now how much would you pay? With a side trip over to the woundrous and wet Atlantic Ocean at the far end it totals up to about 50 miles!
Don't miss the opportunity of a lifetime! Apr 14, 2018 comes only once!

Hmm. I have a rehearsal on the 14th and a church gig on the 15th. Oh well. Next time, I hope.

Our traditional start time is 10AM but of course there is always some milling around and a late arrival (I ain't sayin' it is ever us).
Of course we will be on ye ol' vintage tandem, 1982 Peugeot TH8.

Gosh darn it, I am going to try really, really hard to make it this year. I always plan to go to Eroica and then can't go.
But really, this is pretty much exactly like Eroica. Except no hills. And cheaper. And not as many people. And closer.
Another great thing is that last time I went (2014), it delighted my daughter to no end. "Ha ha!" she said. "Dad's going on a bike ride with his Internet friends!" Even though she's left home, I'll be sure to mention that I did it again.
Yeah, count me in, I hope.

I’m afraid I’ll be maintaining my perfect record of not attending this ride as I’ll be in Paso Robles for Eroica. Have fun!

Yep! Very suspicious looking too.
Sorry to preempt you posting about it. I figure you probably can't make Saturday, so you will be missed. But I can't make Sunday and Sharon really wants to do this ride.

Gosh! We need to alert the Cape Cod Constables that this unruly bunch of "Cussors & Vagabonds will be up to no good along the back alleys of The Cape! We know your intentions will be to run unsuspecting mothers with baby filled prams off the trail into the pucker brush and cranberry bogs.
Watch out Dennis! Watch out Orleans! Trouble is descending upon your blessed dunes and kettle pots as this rabble intends to invade your pleasant and peaceable lands!
P.S. I won't be able to join in the fun. As usual I'll be on "Pastor's Good Month Respite" and far away in southern, sunny, warmer climes! Have fun!

Dennis it will be. Not even close to being ready. Been on a couple of sections walking the dog recently & there is a ton of debris out there. Bring your stoutest tires

Jim, I don't know your usual route, but west of the city as you are 495/25-Bourne might be a quicker route. Take the last exit off the rotary on the CC side of the Bourne to parallel the canal and get back on Rt 6 in Sagamore. I used to do the reverse from Boston on NG drill weekends.

Of course, it we talk it up too widely it will lose some of its value. Kind of like French e-bay.
