The Kagero looks overpriced to me. For the same price you can get a Colossi Low Pro Encore frameset with a full carbon fork.

fwiw: i think everyone ive seen on here that has gotten one sold it and moved to something else, with the complaint being "it just never fit right"

Your cog is slipping.
That being his third cracked 7-series frame, they upgraded him to a Kagero.

I'm surprised to see all the negative comments about the kagero I was under the impression that it was liked this forum.

That said, Scrod had one and enjoyed it. I believe he's on an All-City thunderdome now though. You'd have to ask to see which one he likes more!

The Kagero and Renovatio are both really nice frames and worth the price, IMO. The saddle-to-bar-drop my 2011 Kagero had didn't agree with my back or shoulders, though.

Yes, which is precisely why I don't ride any bikes having such geometry, Leader or otherwise.

TT, I am 49 this year. Wish I could catch a plane to where you are and ride your bikes! I'm 5' 5.5" and would probably fit. :-)
Made some small but significant changes to the Leaders, to wit:
1) Replaced silver master link on Cretin with orange outer link.
2) plugged threaded holes in Cretin dropouts with stainless steel button head hex screws.
3) Added BFSSFG flying squirrel stickers to seat tubes on Cretin and 721

Alright. 1 month later update.
I wasn't going to spend money on an uograde so I decided I'd try another 725 frameset as replacement. After sending 3 emails I finally got a response from leader and we worked out an arrangment. I'd send my frameset with fork headset and bb. They'd swap the parts over to a new frame and return it, free of charge.
My frame arrived in San Diego. I then sent several emails requesting tracking information. After my frame sat there for a week I was finally told that it was shipping thag day.
6+ emails over 2 weeks requesting tracking information and I was told last night that my frame shipped yesterday and was given a tracking number.
By far some of the worst customer service I've ever received. I've been without my bike for a month.
This will be the last thing I ever buy from leader. I'm debating selling it and my 721 and buying something from a company that has competent employees.

^^^ That's pretty sad, but I would not get rid of the 721 just because you are pissed off at Leader. I know you are angry at them, but don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. The 721 is a good frame and I've had no problems with mine.

Solid advice here. I'd also feel a little weird selling the 725 until I put some serious miles on it without a seat post crack, as it would suck to pass this nightmare on to somebody else.

That's a valid point.
Another update :
The tracking information I got informed me I had a package scheduled for delivery today. I emailed tim at leader 4 times to confirm that he actually included my fork and headset with the shipment. No response.
This morning my package arrives at post office and the tracking information say it has been recalled. I went to post office and was told that the shipper recalled the package (meaning he finally checked his email and realized they screwed up ).
An hour later I receive another tracking number for a package due next wednesday. So a solid month since they received my return.

It's been frustrating, I can't imagine how difficult this process would be for someone with one bike that depended on it for work or commuting.
I commute daily but luckily have a few backup bikes.
I have a friend returning his 2014 725 for a seat tube failure, well see how his experience goes.

Anyone with a 2014+ 721/725/735 willing to measure the Leader decal on the down tube of their bike? I'm trying to get replacement decals and I see 2 sizes online, and I'm not sure if either is quite right.

Finally received all of the correct parts. Frame showed up missing my bottom bracket and with the wrong fork.
Headset was a struggle but I swapped some parts and I think it turned out okay for a fairly inexpensive build.

This is really sad. I can see why Scrod has dropped all of Leader's products from RG. Even the Kagero and Renovatio are gone now. R.I.P. Leader.
