Lezyne Road Drive, tucked under downtube bottle cage on the non-drive side. I can't even see it myself when I"m riding.

Mini-pumps and CO2 inflators are currently more fashionable than full-size frame mounted pumps.

True. I also sometimes ride without wearing lycra. I'm so ashamed.

That's acceptable in certain cases. When I commute in town and run errands I never was cycling clothes. Only when I do my bike-train-bike commute to another state do I wear cycling clothes. That's because I try to make it a fast ride.

How many seconds on a 40k TT do you gain wearing lycra on the train?

I don't carry a pump. Knock on wood. The few flats I can remember one wasn't more than 2 miles from home riding around town maybe another in a similar situation. Then one I happened to be across the street from a bike shop. They fixed it up right quick and only cost a few dollars. I had a paranoid suspicion they were throwing nails on the road to lure in cyclists. It did have one in it. First two I think were pinch flats as I was running lower pressure early on thinking im a mtn biker on my hybrid. I don't do particularly long rides on the road and the hybrid tires I think are sturdier than road bikes. Ashamed to say I ride mups on occasion and in my mind figure someone will help me out and theres always the girlfriend taxi. The trails i ride while it would suck is maybe a 10 mile loop so I wouldn't be more than five miles in the woods. Thats still over an hour walk if something happened. I used to have one in my bag then i read it could hurt your back if you fell, could strap it to the bike i suppose or get co2 and I've got an empty rack now with cargo net so the bag could go on that. I've changed tubes twice in 4 years but would probably still need to watch a youtube video.

YUP, there are shorties & CO2 cartridge devices, you carry in a pocket,
or short pumps, on a clip alongside a water bottle cage, or in pockets..

You HAVE to wear it if you go to Whole Foods. I never considered driving to the store and walking around pushing a cart to be a serious workout but apparently a lot of people do.

I have a mini pump with the bracket that goes on the bottle cage mounts, but I have several bikes. I just throw the pump in a pocket for long rides or take CO2 on the shorter rides instead of buying a pump for each bike or swapping it around. I kept forgetting it when I left it attached ot my main bike.

When I get back in town I sometimes stop at Whole Food in my spandex for dinner stuff. But more often I stop here:

Because most bikes don't have a pump peg anymore. So you have to either strap one down or get a clamp on mount, and most will only work on round, small diameter steel tubes. Or if you have a funky shaped frame then it looks corny like this:

It depends on the bike I am using or the tires I have currently installed. For my Bromton I never carry a pump even though it came with one and has a specific place to carry it. If I ever get a flat, I will just fold it and take some form of transit home.

For my Rivendell, if I am using Schwalbe Marathon tires, I don't see the need as the probability of getting flats is low. If I switch over to Grand Bois Hetres, I wouldn't leave home without a pump. In this case I use a Lezyne Road Drive installed beside my water bottle cage.
