So far I've ridden out 8AM to commute once, but will continue commuting. On weekends I've ridden out mid-morning to mid-afternoon for grocery run or pleasure ride on our scenic trails. I've also ridden out in the 6-7 pm time frame to practice riding my bike in the early part of my cycling "career", then just to have some fun if it's still light out and the weather is good.

I've slowly conquered my various fears as a beginning cyclist (fear of descents, fear of cars, etc.). Next is fear of riding at night, because it's going to happen if I keep commuting to work on bike, when DST ends and the days begin to shorten again in the fall.

What's very interesting, but no joke, is if one lives in an area of those cyclists who are driving their cars ---- doing their chores. And those non-active cyclists who are JEALOUS of those active cyclists, in the process of riding the bikes. As the ones in the cars are jealous of the others (a) time (b) bikes (c) both. That's such non-active cyclists SERIOUSLY HAD, AND WILL --- use The Aggressive & Abusive Power Of The 4-Wheel Motor Vehicles.

I work nights so it varies.
I ride everyday. On my weekend days I like to ride early morning hours and be home by noon. This way it keeps the Wife happy because I am home to take her shopping or do the honeydo list.
During the workweek I usually ride from 11am till 1 or 1:30 Then I have lunch watching TV for an hour then shower and get ready for work.

When things get in the way of my morning weekend ride I will try to go late afternoon till dusk. I dislike this time because it usually gets too buggy and I hate bugs! Especially in my mouth... LOL...

It's hot where I live, so outside of commuting to and from work, I'll enjoy a ride before 9am on the days I don't work. In the cooler months, I'll ride in the early afternoons.

I use an app(s) on my phone.... and I always have it with me. But the area where I live isn't very consistent with weather patterns... so the forecasts never seem accurate. I have a rain bike and often use it if I think I might get wet. But the sunny days with no (predicted) chance of rain... are always the one that soak me. Last down pour I was caught in I was on a vintage bicycle... my last choice for riding in the rain.

I also use a cycling/jogging app that tracks things like temperature, sun/rain, sunrise/sunset, and humidity. But honestly... I haven't yet discovered any way to use all that information. I try to be a solid 2000 miles a year cyclist. It doesn't require so much effort.... as it does spare time, decent weather, and good health.

But yes... I do enjoy the technology... even though I hide the phone in my jersey pocket.

Me too. I generally ride between 5:00 to 6:00 am and 6:00 - 7:00 pm. I rarely ride on weekends but when I do I take my mountain bike up the coast range logging roads. Can't now as that land is closed to public entry due to fire danger. I guess my sweat might ignite.

I don't get home from work until 7:30-ish, so on weeknights when it's not raining, we'll usually ride from about 8:15 to 10pm.

Weekend rides typically start at about 4:30pm, and we usually get back some time between 7:30 and 8pm.

On weekdays, I try to start my ride between 7am and 7:30am.

On weekends, I do a group ride on Saturday that starts at 9am.

On Sundays, it depends. Last Sunday, we were visiting a friend in the morning, so I started about 7am. If not, I'll probably start between 8am and 8:30am.

Weekdays: ~5:30-6pm right after work
Saturdays: ~11am after work (I have a stupid 8-10am Saturday shift that ruins many great cycling opportunities)
Sundays: Early morning/late evening

So pretty much whenever I can haha.

I usually ride an hour after work, on most weekday evenings. Since I ride on the Trace, a dedicated bike path, there are no vehicles to watch out for except at a few road crossings. So rush hour isn't an impediment.

On weekends, of course, I ride longer.

I find consistent riding keeps my muscle tone and general strength up, and also causes the endorphine machine to kick in.

LIving in Florida as I do, starting in June and lasting till early September I generally ride at night
Unlike many people I actually find night riding safer.
There is less traffic for one, but more importantly I can see the headlights of a car as it approaches.
My most dangerous encounters are people making right turns on red lights. they simply do not stop.
If there is an suv or truck in the middle lane I cannot see dale earnhardt wannabe racing through the light
At least at night I can see the headlights coming and know enough to stop rather than become a large colorful bug on his windshield

Early on weekends an 6pm on wed group rides n the rest of the time either 130 or 330 when I get off work I wanna get my ride outa the way so I can spend time with the family
