Bikes: Merz x 5 + Specialized Merz Allez x 2, Strawberry/Newlands/DiNucci/Ti x3, Gordon, Fuso/Moulton x2, Bornstein, Paisley,1958-74 Paramounts x3, 3rensho, 74 Moto TC, 73-78 Raleigh Pro's x5, Marinoni x2, 1960 Cinelli SC, 1980 Bianchi SC, PX-10 X 2

So the Ritchey won best original a the Albany show again and the very light green Merz full on touring won best restored.

the Ritchey got a fork "upgrade" over the winter as I finally got fed up with the fugly Tange unibrow and realized i could swap in the very tall Stumpy with some threading and fabbing up a way longer stub stem.

The fork cleaned up well compared to the nasty Stumpy frame that is slated for more eval and hopefully at least cleanup.

So got the fork threads extended and made a longer stub, got a longer bolt and it all went together ok, rides fine and looks good IMO.

Not a flattering angle.

There is another upgrade hopefully coming soon.

Partial silver, steel 1999 Specialized Hardrock. I was bequeathed the frame from a friend and had great plans for it. With limited resources, I gave it a 1X8 group set, Billy Bonkers tires and new pedals and grips. Fun to ride on trails or cruising down to the cafe.

Man, I wish I was living near you !!! Why don't MY neighbours give away bikes like that ?? Instead all I see are crap dept store bikes from the PRC....with bad tires and lotsa rust.
l'd have loved to have that bike as a fun ride, however.......for me with that XL frame it would be like sitting on the top floor of a double decker bus that they have in London.

What a beautiful 'Cane, motogeek !!! I'm a sucker for silver bikes in general but, IMO, yours takes the blue ribbon.

When I graduated from High School in 1981, I took my graduation gift money and bought the same exact bike. Then ended up working for a competing LBS that despised Schwinn bikes - of any kind. So I bought the best I could at that time - Raleigh Prestige Grand Sport - sold the Schwinn and never looked back. Fast forward to 2023 I picked that bike at a car show for $15 - cleaned it up and later put it on CL. NOT ONE BITE. The bike was completely all original. I have other fine rides so it was time to let someone LOVE the Schwinn for what it is.

This one is here already but its back as promised.

It has a new original style fork built by the man himself.

Tx Tom, not sure on the angle, I'll get out the angle guage.

I got so lucky on this, my size, great shape, cool as heck, etc, etc and then Tom decides to build new forks for them, win, win, win.

So far no ones sure of the year but with Campy RDO's its early and 82 could be a good bet.

Nice!
I've had 2-3 Moto pass thru for a refurbishing. The paint on these polish up so well they almost glow.

Sweetie doesn’t post here.

her 1971 Cinelli SC

some fun:
factory hand painted logo on bars
no date campy triple
merz smaller ring
Soma long cage
campy brakes but borelli handles. Why? Double QR means a wider tire can be used.

ridden constantly.

Oldest style Blackburn rack made Basket from container store

Pedals are EVO, a local company and won at a Portland Bike Happy Hour raffle.

Hand painted bars from factory when bought.

N+0 Stumpjumper Sport that I bought new back in 1984, I think. I'd been wanting to scratch the gravel bike itch for a while, but have been trying not to add another bike to the fleet.

Thank you. I wonder why it looks slacker than that. In any case, it's very cool.
