That is easily the most appealing Trek I've ever seen.

This thread is the reason I bought it. Read through all the posts in it and figured, "what the heck"! Bunch of dang enablers around here, LOL!

You should have clearance to run a 700/32 tire like a Gravelking. Seems like it would be an ok Cino choice set up that way.

EDIT-I goofed on BCD which is actually 116 as pointed out below.
Not only can you get some smaller chainrings, but the Victory rear derailleur is designed to take up to a 30t freewheel cog. So you could get some pretty low gears - especially if you accept running a chain too long that goes slack in small/small.

I got be messing with this one today also. The brakes have always been hard to pull on this one and I figured the cables were dragging inside of gunked up housings. I bought new housing weeks ago for this and decided to fix this one today. First I just disconnected the cables and they actually do move freely. Then I compressed the VIctory calipers by hand and man are those strong springs. So I grabbed some NOS Athena Monoplaner brakes I had and mounted those. What a world of difference. This is what I'm going to run on this one now. I'll keep the old brakes in case I sell this one as they should go with the bike. But otherwise I'm sticking with the replacement calipers. Yellow O-rings for the adjusters just because...

I've still got to go to the hardware store to find a replacement bolt and nut for the one pedal cage. It was missing when I got the bike. I went through all of my loose nuts and bolts but didn't have anything that small.

Thinking again today about putting that old Campagnolo tubular wheelset I got extra when I bought this bike. They are all sorted out now. I got a bulk of small width Effetto Mariposa Carogna tape in today. I found a shop roll at a discount with just a small amount used off of it. I just don't know what tubular tires to pick now if I can't find my beloved Veloflex's.
