Evenepoel leaves Soudal and goes to Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe, joining Primoz and Florian Lipowitz.

Red Bull may try to split them up between the three Grand Tours. But for the middle one, who knows what they will try? In my mind it depends largely on what Roglic is willing to do.

think rbbh may throw lipowitz out there for la vuelta and hoping he rides it. feel like he's got the talent to win it. remco may focus on the worlds and the two canadian races along with the last classic and call it a year.
obviously, roglic has some decent vuelta results so rbbh might let the boys go mano a mano as they did at the tdf. vuelta has a team time trial (iirc, stage 6 or so) this year and it could catapult rbbh waay up
the gc standings or could relegate one, or both, into stage hunting or dark horse gc status. team has some capable gc guys that could ride as super-doms along with a decent sprinting cadre that could snatch a win or two.

I dunno - I'm not fully onboard the Remco train.
Yes, he's had great results in the past and is a special rider - no doubt. Great TT - great 1 hour power, maybe the best,
I don't think he will ever beat Tadej/Jonas in any grand tour. He may, if everything goes perfectly, be able to beat Tadej/MVDP/Wout/Mads... in a one day classic (like the Olympics).
Lipo, who was not fully unleashed in this years TDF - essentially matched Remco's TDF performance from last year.
I'm still not happy with his early exit of this years TDF. I think he could have stuck around and helped his team. Now knowing what we know, where he knew he was leaving his team... makes it even more sketchy for me. As a poor result may have effected his upcoming contract.
And he is now the second highest paid rider in the peloton. Puts him right up there with Pogi - and he isn't right up there with Pogi on the road.
Good for him getting paid - I never hold that against anyone. Will he live up to it for the team? Yet to be seen.

I agree, Remco has a lot of talent. But so far, he doesn't look to be the next Eddy Merckx. Lipowitz could be Bora's next GC guy. Primoz has had some bad luck the last few years, but in those few years he has aged. I don't see any victories coming from Primoz any time soon. He is from the same era as Julian Alaphillippe. Remco is good to have on your roster, much like Wout on Jumbo Visma. He gives you some wins here and there and keeps your team relevant even when you are not winning GC.

If they can all get along and if they are all on top form, it'd be interesting to see them all race together in a grand tour. I still don't think it's actually enough to beat Pogi, but having multiple options is probably the only chance to beat him.

I don't think Remco has the pinnacle climbing ability to challenge for the top step of the Tour, but we need to remember that this year's fitness was affected by his very heavy training crash at the end of last year. Remco is an exciting racer, he's still pretty young, and his palmares put him among the best in the game right now.
