Minnesota campsites
Hi !
I am looking for campistes in Minnesota.
How is the situation with campsites in Minnesota ?
Are there many?
When touring with bicycle and put up tent, I like campsites.
I am from Europe and here are many of them.
Do you know a good site to find information about this topic or have you your own experience about camping in Minnesota?
( I just wrote one thread about campsites in Iowa. Mabye it should be only one thread instead of two......? =)
Best regards

The direction is to come from the the south, from Iowa, and into Minnesota.
And visit Stillwater, and Taylors Falls, and Center City and Chisago Lake.
If there are anybody with experience of this route on bicycle or nearby bicycle routes,
or any other bicycle routes in Minnesota, it will be appreciated.
And, of course any good tips for campsites.
Thanks in advance.

There are a gozillion campsites in MN.
1. Go to Google Maps
2. Search for "Campgrounds near [name of town/city]"
3. Vet results. For example, some places do not accepts tent campers, and some are for seasonal campers only, where you park your RV or trailer for the entire summer.

Where in Iowa are you coming from? If in the far eastern part of Iowa (near the Mississippi R) riding north along the river is very nice - I would recommend the Minnesota side until Winona MN, then cross over to the Wisconsin side, then back to the Minnesota side at Prescott, WI.
You would probably be mostly snow free here into the first week or so of November and again after the first couple weeks of April, although there's quite a bit of variability in that. (If it was me, I would wait until after May 1).
Feel free to PM me (if that is allowed on this forum).
