You could prob look at the website and figure out which one you have. Might help
if you ever want to get another.

I believe the plain/regular/standard Marathon IS the model that comes with tread pattern HS 308 which has been superseded in many sizes by tread pattern HS 368. Prior to the HS 308, the standard Marathon came with tread pattern HS 270. All have served me well.

You are correct about the Plus, Cross, Plus ATB, Racer, Slick and XR models, they are not "just" Marathons. They are extra cost models that have other features that some cyclists might find worthwhile..

it seems like the tire just rolls around a little bit when cornering. nothing to be at all concerned about, but it just feels a little wierd after coming off normal road tires. . . .
I mentioned the same impression in this thread. I felt the same thing, intitially. After using the tires for an extended period, I got used to it. I don't think it was really "vagueness." I think it's that the tires are so much more rigid than normal tires that they feel like a narrower tire on corners. My impression is that 32 Marathon Plus tires corner more like standard 28's.

meh, to me, when coming off my fixed gear with a roadtire onto my more robust bike with the marathon plus i think i can feel that smartguard gell sloshing around a little when i corner. but i have totally gotten used to is and it has never caused me any problems.
