Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yeah, I couldn't believe how beautiful the color came out. This frame started out "beef gravy brown."

I don't know the RAL code. The powder coater (Brooker Enterprises in Portland) called it "lollypop blue" -- probably this one. Of course, you can't have a "lollypop blue" Surly, so I'm calling it "interstate blue." I was going to call it "recycling can blue" but it came out too nice for that.

Here are a couple more pictures that show the color a little better (and also the brake hanger that the guys at Brooker added for me).

WINTER BIKE, built last friday, almost done. half-clips are going on the pedals, cheap fenders, and a 19t cog to replace the 15t are my next moves.

the tires are silly as heck, makes it look kinda like a G.I. Joe bike. 20 bucks at the lbs, sold.
