any particular reason bf.net doesn't have an RSS feed? I've seen plenty of vbulletin forums with rss feeds but bikeforums doesn't have one.
I thought vbulletin supported it natively... does it not? or does the version that bf.net is running not support it?

uhh, what would BF feed?
I can't imagine new posts cuz that'd be an insane amount.
Operator: RSS Feeds push data to a site of your choice. For example, I use my.yahoo.com and get feeds from various sources, but they typically push data once or twice a day. I'm sure there are other benes, but I'm a simple man.

What about notifacations to threads that a person is subscribed to? Would this be a better then sending an email? Seems like it might reduce network traffic. I use the digest option for my notifactions but I still recieve multiple emails for all of the threads I am subscribed to. Maybe that could be reduced to a single RSS feed, although each user would have to have a feed.

If you want traffic to go down, implement the post reply feature where you click on an icon and it brings you down to the quick reply box with quote original message in reply option. This will practically eliminate the reply page load which is just redundant and wastes bandwidth.
(Yes i'm too lazy to copy and paste a post and throw in the quote tags with the persons name).
