Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

FG Review

On FGG today:

Fugliest bicycle ever!

(Feel free to agree, disagree, and post bikes from the internet that you think are awesome, terrible, hot, fugly, or just generally remarkable. Lets make this a sticky! Lets restrict this to pictures of bikes that the owners have chosen to post online (rather than pics that people take of bikes they see locked-up on the street).

Bikes: 80's Hoffy track frame 49x15, 80's guerciotti track 47x15(destroyd by a car), '78 ross conversion(RIP, died of old age), '06 fuji track(RIP, hit by a trolley), '75 Alan Aluminum(in the works)

it reminds me of those ball pits we used to play in as kids

Its not too bad it even has matching tires
Just add one of those top tube carpets to turn any bike into poo.

Bikes: Davidson Impulse, Merckx Titanium AX, Bruce Gordon Rock & Road, Cross Check custom build, On-One Il Pomino, Shawver Cycles cross, Zion 737, Mercian Vincitore, Brompton S1L, Charge Juicer

That bike is awesome. It would be even better with drop bars.

I like it. I'm not too fond of the green tires, but the rest gets a thumbs up.

Bikes: Old-ass gearie hardtail MTB, fix-converted Centurion LeMans commuter, SS hardtail monster MTB

That Hottubes bike is the jam. If that paintjob were on a keirin frame it would have a crowd of folks oohing over it. Definitely shows a willingness to go out on a limb, and they do it well.

*edit onetwentyeight - legos: exactly. I never had the patience to build anything color coordinated.

I wonder why we don't see people covering their fixie frames with faux fur, a la the motorcycle "stunta" set. Or do we?

67x14. Let's see someone ride that with 700c wheels.
