the ultimate in bike polo mallets
I'm looking for an edge over my competition
"the ***** that will destroy them"
basically, I need the scoopability of a saddle-stick with the carrying abilities of the classic push broom
something not too hard in case I vent anger on a teammate
CAN IT BE DONE?

Perhaps the ultimate polo mallet would also be the ultimate bike polo mallet?

i dunno, i feel like people who ARE good at bike polo are the ones looking for a better mallet. ...just as long as you're not gonna jam it in someone's front tire and rip out a dozen of their spokes.
i was kinda hoping my gangly long arms would give me an edge in this game, but no, as of now i'm a horrible bike polo player.

I use a croquet mallet. I need a proper polo mallet by the spring. But people here use PVC pipe, brooms, etc., so I am already ahead of the game in terms of equipment with my fancy croquet gear.

we made a set here in town with golf irons and blocks of wood; works fine and light enough to not wear down your right hand. this girl is also designing polo-gear for us as her project for the fashion school, so we'll be decked out in nice garb soon enough; pics when we get it.
-we play either in abandoned parking lots or basketball courts with a large wiffle ball. works well enough

In DC we play every Thursday night in a roller hockey rink.
And we have real mallets.
And sometimes we play real rules.
Soon we will be moving to the grass and trying to play real bike polo against other teams.
Oh, and I'm leaving DC and this has me super bummed, because I love me some polo and don't want to leave the DC team.

giant b-ball court here, and more often than not we just have our 12 packs to cheer us on from the sidelines
no access to golf irons or pvc pipe (not looking to take anyone out, either)
I am liking the idea of double-sided bamboo, and I might experiment with old cut-up shoes

we used to play with pvc, but decided they suck terribly.
we also have enough mallets that any team that wants to challenge us to a game using good mallets can borrow some of ours.

Bikes being not usually as tall a horses I would think a 30" practice mallet might be better suited to bike polo they've got em for $30 here https://www.argentinapolo.com/

actually, 36" is good. 34" has a little less ball control. 30" seems like you'd be reaching a lot.\
