anyone know anything about fioris? I picked up one from 1979, second owner serial number in the 300's. Was going to turn it into a beater, but low and behold it's lighter then my casati sl from 91...

So going from this, it's a Canadian product but probably made in Japan...these models show some with pretty high-grade tubing, and one with SL. I saw one for sale a few years back that was very unimpressive, but it was advertised as "Italian" and so I was disappointed straightaway. It was surely the rock-bottom model.
Not to be cofused with "Fiorelli" which IS an old Italian marque and they built for pro riders and sold bikes as "Coppi" back in olden times.

I am suspect that the one you picked up is from 1979, as unworthy's post shows I don't think Norco started selling the Fiori brand till the mid-late 80s. I have seen a lot of them (i live in vancouver) and have never seen one that old. As mentioned many were made in Japan and I have seen lots with Ishiwata tubing, you hay have a high end model with very light Ishiwata.

Hmmm well the bike has a colombus sticker and the remnants of a made in Italy sticker on it. The preveous owner sold it to my friend with a full victory group (I know not from 79) on it, and supposedly the original sales slip is floating around. Gipiemme drops, bb shell is stamped gbf, serial number is 321. fiori decal is only on the down tube says FIORI then has an Italian flag. has a flower stamped on the shoulders of the fork, apparently the head badge was once a flower decal (can see the out line of it). Stem has a deap engraving of fiori on each side, stem is 26.4.

ok so the lettering pretty much matches that on this bike... I guess not as exciting as i thought, not a small Italian builder.

I have a Fiori Modena as my Fixed Gear Conversion. See below except I have upgraded to campy record cranks, a new matching IRO front and new Ritchey bars after a crash. It is a nice light bike, but not Italian in the least, despite the name aand Italian flag stickers. I love it and will probably keep it in my stable for quite a while

Your bike is a Fiori Amalfi ...like mine.Exactly the SAME bike,Columbus SL frame,Gipiemme drops,RGF bb shells,same forks,Fiori engraving(stem) and complete Campagnolo Victory group,etc....The serial number is:56 CM...0334.The year is probably 1985-86.

Based on Fiori bicycles that I have owned, they were Made in Japan, as is defined on some stickers. Or, other stickers indicate that the bicycle was Assembled in Canada. The bikes are not Canadian made, as nearly as I can tell.

I offer two made, or assembled, in sticker pictures. The pink one is a Fiori Modena, while the purple one a Napoli. I know the pictures are not great, but they do demonstrate the point.

As for the beauty you were lucky enough to find, I am not sure where it would have been made, but it is a really nice bicycle. I know this. A close but rarely visited friend these days, has a near mint one that he purchased brand new in the early eighties. I should go see if he wants to sell it;-)

I also have an old Fiori Modena from the late 70's. I'm guessing it's a Canadian made but I don't know. Anyone know if there is any value to them?

Here is my Fiori Amalfi that I just finished building. I bought it off eBay from Canada. It has columbus SL tubing. Any info on it? I have had no luck at all.

I neglected to read. This is exactly the same as mine, except I ended up putting chorus/record on mine.

I just purchased a Fiori Amalfi with SL and full Campy Victory today. I will post pic and serial when it arrives tomorrow. I was just going to strip it in favour of my Columbus Miele frame but it seems this bike may retain greater value un molested
