Rad - I was really tempted by those Regina parts too. If I ever see any more come up I might just throw out a bid if you snagged that set for just over a bill. Look forward to seeing better photos of everything and what you think of it when you have it in hand.

the crankset looks suspiciously like a Croce d'Aune. Everything else
looks unique, don't know if campy would retool for the differences.
I did a search at bikelist.org and came up empty, CR doesn't list it.

Regina actually had 4 different gruppos in 1992 -- America, Strada, Stelvio and Enduro. 6/7 speed indexed across the board. Think they were a pretty dismal failure for them.

Right around the same time is when Campy switched to 8 speed cassettes, and their own chains. This may have been an attempt by Regina to diversify/survive.

I have a pdf of the 1992 catalog I'd be happy to send you.

Don't recall if Regina was ever under the Campy wing, but that crank reminds me so much of another Italian make I can't quite put my finger on: Ofmega? Sachs? Miche?...it wasn't Campy, though and I seem to recall that one model of Sachs cranks were contract built by Campy. I'll guess Miche, just for grins

As for the Regina group, I don't have any plans for it at the moment.

I don't recall if the rest is Ofmega or not (I'd take a stab at Sachs for the derailers, but this is a guess based on a photo I haven't seen in a while) - have to look up the photos in The Dancing Chain again...

I saw this group on a Ross Signature Series once, one of their "high-end" bikes, built under the direction of Tom Kellogg (for a couple years at least).

Oh so tempting, so tempting just to hold for some one-off interesting build. But not sure if I can drop $108 for crank/bb/shifters and derailleurs. Hummmm... I'll have to think this one over. I still need to buy parts for my current build(s).

So I just bought one of these groups as well and I'd love a copy of the catalog. I'll be replacing the beat up Exage group on my girlfriends RB-2 with this shiny new stuff. Your blog has been a great source of info for Campy syncro stuff for me btw, keep it up!

This group is tempting me too, especially since I have a 7 speed regina america freewheel sitting around.

How do you think this would compare to Shimano 600? I have a 600 group I was going to use on a new project but I like the uniqueness of this group. If it's way inferior, I'll just pass but if comparable, I just might be able to swing this one.

i suspect Period shimano 600 which would be shimano/ultegra is superior and that that consumables are WAY most readily available, I.e. chain and cassette/freewheel.

My set arrived today, very nice! In the original plastic hard case with instructions and everything. In general the quality is really nice, with some slight problems with finish. Rear derailleur indexes perfectly with my cheap Sunrace 7 speed freewheel and generic 7 speed chain. Front derailleur also works very well, with quick clean shifts. The crankset and bottom bracket look fine but wont work with my italian threaded bb....
