Oh Funny Starbucks Man...
... why do I drive past you every day on my way to work at about 7:30am, as you sip your coffee in one hand while steering with your other? Do you work? Don't you know you shouldn't ride your road bike on the sidewalk, the traffic only is going 35mph. You can ride on the road (sans coffee). Blue jersey and black shorts match your bike so eloquently. The shade of blue almost seems to blend in so perfectly with your bike. I can only imagine that your 2 mile ride down the sidewalk and through two parking lots takes you an hour, from the insurmountable speed I see every day. At least you can wear your jersey a week before washing it because you don't break a sweat.
P.S. Kudos on the helmet. The sunvisor must help keep the morning sun rising on the horizon from your eyes.

You're saying it's not cool to ride with a cup of coffee in one hand?
I say bollocks to that.

We do not have a Starbucks nearby but went to one when I was visiting my brother and his wife...
They ordered a chi, latte, foam, blah blah blah...
He turned to me and asked me what I want...
I said coffee with milk...
He looked kind of puzzled...
Thought for a second and said a drip with cow...
When did ordering a coffee get so complicated...
And the coffee sucked, bitter and burnt...

That's what *I* said, too. Much consternation ensued.

I work at a Starbucks (corporate owned store), and I see all varieties of cyclists. Roadies, MTBers, couriers, fixie riders, BMXers, cruisers, hybriders, etc. I'm one of them. They are also all in a variety of outfits from full kit to office apparel (sp?) and everything in between. I commute in on my road bike in spandex (it's so much more comfy that other clothes when sweating) and change in the bathroom. I usually talk shop with them when they come in. Of course this month, I try to sell them all a pound of coffee beans too. However, none of them ride with a cup in their hand (myself included). Most of them take a seat on the porch (outside seating) and chat with other people. I couldn't imagine trying to ride vehicularly with coffee in my hand.

I AM the cyclist at my local starbucks. (only because we don't have any other coffee shop worth a damn here)
Straight joe, here. In a ceramic mug, with a newspaper. I'm not paying $4 for one of their overmilked faux-espresso confections.
Coffee? Dude, that's an iced venti sugar free vanilla soy latte with whipped cream.
