Has anyone ever put a chainstay protector on the opposite side of the chain? Main reason considering doing this I currently have some strips of electical tape to hold my cyclometer wiring(tape holding wire and tape around the stay where sensors mount so zip ties dont rub on frame). Thought it would give a "symetrical/cleaner look" to just put a protector to cover it. Thoughts?

And a backwards chainguard is going to look a lot uglier than the computer wiring.

Yes thats what i am saying, on the non chain side. I was considering just using electrical tape. Something that xeno was thinking of.

Why do you have wiring running along your L/H chainstay ?

Cadence sensor for a cyclocomputer would be a good reason.

Would that run all the way along a chainstay like a chainstay protector does ?
