Rate My Jersey
Hello Bikeforums people,
I finally have a chance to do the first ever Thylacine Cycles team jerseys in the upcoming month, and because of course I value your highly constructive feedback, *cough* I thought I'd post the first concept here.
Whaddayathink?
Keep in mind it's a 'team' jersey, so it's supposed to be very 'look at me'.

The design looks good. However, I'm not crazy about the colors.

Yeah, it is a little mountain-bikey. Colours would be more vibrant though - the orange and yellow didn't jpeg out very well. It has to appeal to both because, well, I ride both, and so do my customers. I'm going to be sponsoring one guy next month (road) and towards the end of the year I'll be looking at putting together a 24hr/Enduro MTB team.
So the design has to appeal to everyone.
Also, the 'cut' looks a bit t-shirty in the pic, but it will be a semi-fitted road/xc style jersey.
I'm not sure how much they'll be, because that is totally up to how many I get made. I'm meeting with one company tomorrow, so we'll see.

If we wanted to order one how would we go about doing so?

I like the black and gold. However, you may want to give it a little more gold and a little less black. All that black would get hot in the summer time, and cut down on visibility to motorists. Overall it looks pretty good!

Wow, thanks for the feedback fellas.
What do you guys typically pay for a typically small run, unique, no other bastid has one bike jersey?

That Jersey would be even more pimp that it is if it said "Aluminum Still Sucks" on it.

ummm, well I don't want to sound cheap but I typically wait for stuff to go on sale and then buy it.
My most expensive jersey was $30 but I suspect my Death Ride jersey was around $50. The Death Ride one was a gift though so I'm not completely sure about the price.
For a small run, unique jersey I would probably pay a max of $50.
Of course exceptions can be made

Why didn't you do a poll Thylo you lazy git?
If I was to do like the thread title says and rate it, I would give it an 8 out of 10. Orange/gold isn't my favourite colour though. I rekon you could sell that thing to the 3 Wests Tigers supporters in existence easy. Call me when you do something in red.

Like the colors, woulds suggest a tiger stripe mask rather than diamond chest\shoulder?.
They had tiger stripes..?
..also, photo right, the logo in print vertical on the chest
, I'd make it horizontal and across the ribs, maybe 3, getting smaller lower.
?/ some ideas.

As much as I'd love to do a red jersey just for you Saccy, franky, you can get stuffed!
Anyway, orange, gold and red is a killer combo!

Not that you'd sell to plastic bike riding w@nkers anyway.
Wouldn't mind seeing how they turn out actually. Upon more contemplation, orange and gold reminds me of beer, which would be a wonderful thing to be riminded of in the middle of a long ride. Might have to pay the exhorbitant sum to get myself in one.

It's really good looking. One question though - does the back also have the same roughly horizontal line, semi-upper half/lower half? It's not that the front doesn't taper, the design does that, but the logo of similar colors to the bottom obscures the taper and makes the upper half/lower half contrast more distinct. Might be nice if the design on the back tapered down toward the bottom (if it doesn't already) to make it look more streamlined/faster (looking), especially since the back is the up-facing side. In fact, it would be nice to see the back if you have an image. Nice looking though...classy, but not boring - thanks for posting it.
