That place is a pretty nice hill too, somewhere around 400 feet of elevation gain in not too long of a distance. He basically said "It closes at dusk, and do you have only one gear on that thing?"
It would've been scary if he added: "Damn, look at that ass!"

some freak once complimented my water bottle...in it's cage on a tricked out $4G Breezer I had when I raced off road...the plastic water bottle from a crappy shop impressed him with it's clever spout thingie.

was speeding through the ghetto and some old guy started yelling, "go lance, go armstrong!" and proceeded to jog along the side of the road trying to hand me a pretend cup of water. i guess that could be interpreted as a compliment. not really, nevermind.

I was doing a loop in the park recently just because I didn't feel like buggin with cars and these two girls stopped me and asked to shake my hand. Apparently I impressed them with my speed...funny thing is my average was only 15.2mph that day. Other than that I've been referred to as "the mysterious biker guy". Mostly that doesn't impress the girls around here. I'd be better off in an F-150 or a *****in' Camaro. ZIMA!!

I was riding home in the rain last summer, soaking wet, and a car pulls up with these Puerto Rican girls hanging out the window. The first one yells "Can I get a ride on your bike?" and the second one chimes in "Can get a ride on YOU?" I have never felt so objectified

Seriously - being a girl rider I get cat calls everyday and only take them as compliments if they come from someone on a fixie.

Although I did get whistled at by a fireman the other day as i was doing a trackstand waiting for them to back the engine into the firehouse and clear the lane. It made me blush (and I almost fell over, hee hee)

it made me laugh because i saw this programme once that was a piss take of history documentaries on TV, and they reinacted when the french invaded the UK, and these kids all ran out on the beach shouting "your french and you know you are". at the time, it was absolutely bloody hilarious.

about 2 years ago I was cruising along on my very classic looking Coppi, came to a light and began to trackstand. A very elderly Japanese gentleman waiting for the light to change approached me and as he got close just started smiling and bowing at me..."Keirin..Keirin" he said as he pointed at my bike. I bowed back....nodded and continued on my way. Made my day.

"Hey bikey, I got your number!"
"You ride that thing all day? Don't you got time to talk? You got a phone number or sumthin?"
"Hey biker boy!" (i'm a girl, and I think i look like one, too. Teenagers get so confused.)
..."the most beautiful courier ever come in here" (that's not saying much!)
"I'm sorry but i just had to stop you and tell you that you're the most gorgeous thing i've ever seen" (says a guy who actually stepped in front of me and grabbed my drops in his hands- pretty creepy)
lots of daaamns, and woooos, and whistles, and even a bark once. Not a raawr kind of a bark, but a yap, like a terrier.
It's easy to ignore the people hanging out their windows, but the mailroom guys and the security guards are unavoidable. And it just keeps getting worse. I got nothing... The guys have an unfair advantage because at least some of the female receptionists are halfway normal people. There's no good flirting to be had with the people who sit in freight elevators all day. *shudder*

Guy riding a DWI Deluxe sees me takin' a breather on the sidewalk near an alley antrance and shouts "Heeey sexxy!" This was right after he watched my sis cross right in front of him on her fixie and she got the same comment from him. It was hilarious.

A guy who works three doors down from the sandwich shop I work in came in a asked if I was the one who rode the giant track bikes.
