Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Was at the show today... already registered for what might be a "lame" ride tomorrow morning heh. But, hey, good chance to see LA by bike before I leave.

Never heard of the company - but I picked up a nice rack trunk, QR handlebar bag and a small seat wedge with toolset for 30 bucks all by some company named "Tevye" ... couldn't pass it up, they even remembered to make their name patches reflective and make the front and rear patches unsewed in the middle to act as mounting points for lights.... Have some pictures of the BMX stunt show too... pretty small show all-in-all.

I blocked it out.

It seemed like there were more Volvos than bikes there. Quite odd.

The food on the tour was good, though. Mmm!

I saw a fixed gear locked up, that left and right side drive trains. There were a lot less vendors than last year though.

the show was disappointing. I think there might have been some issues with the organizer. The Fun Ride was also poorly organized and the police rolling escort kept us at a pace that was unsafe for the number of riders.

Hmmm, can't say as I felt unsafe on the fun ride, quite the opposite, I hated the ride home afterwards through regular LA traffic... that's when i felt unsafe.
