Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

it is clearly a [h=2]Fixie Bike. For talk peopple[/h] I don't know much about Lemonds so someone else will have to chime in, but all things considered I would say that its worth 160 if it fits you and its in good condition. Its a conversion, meaning it has road dropouts but modified to be a fixed gear.

It has a vertical dropout and no indication of what they are doing for chain tensioning. I would pass.

You buy 4 chains at a time, different brands. Then, you remove links until you find one that is just right with some links removed. Then, once it stretches, you start the process over.

Other than that, it looks fine.

Isn't that a terrific Craigslist title? I am 6'1" so I think I qualify as a "talk peopple."

Any ideas what this frame is all about?

What difference would four different brands make?

Yeah, that's why I asked. A half inch in China is the same as a half inch in Japan or Korea.

If I am going to make up a silly response, I might as well have some fun with it... And, think how much fun it would be to watch some trying to accomplish this at the LBS.
