Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Building a fixie out of a 70's steel lugged Velo Schauff. Any comments on this German frame?

I, being of full German blood, hope that you did find it funny. If you can't make fun of yourself from time to time you can't make fun of anyone else. It's all in fun.

...and sorry, I don't know anything about the frame.

Looks like a nice frame. I can't find that one in particular, but here is their website. Any details about the tubeset or anything? Are the dropouts forged or stamped?
