hypnotoad: now featuring 3x9 XT deore/XTR and an absolutely ridiculous gear range |
I haven't kept up with every episode of Hypnotoad Build so help me understand - the posts on the fork are used as rack mounts while the chainstay posts are just kinda dangling out there so...
Are there discs hidden behind the hub and cassette? Can that even be possible because of the width of the dropouts? Do I see a cable going down the NDS fork? Are the brakes in the hubs? I guess what I'm asking is, how does that thing stop? |

cant stop, dont want to.
haha i love how its so mysterious! no discs, brakes are in the hubs, drum brakes. no adjustments necessary, and no squealing. mediocre performance no matter what the weather is! the u-brake posts on the bottom are kinda like utters |
any other brake > u brake

Was this made possible because of the change in chain line from going 1x10?

decided that I'm going to buy one of the team 2016
The 1/2's have bikes being lent to them for the season, and there will be a number of 54's that are available for guys like me to purchase very cheaply before they're offered to the general public. My plan is to buy the bike, then purchase a Dura Ace 9000 groupset for it. The 11sp 105 that comes on the Venge will go onto my steel training bike, so it will also serve as a way to convert both bikes to 11. Not sure what I'm going to do with the wheels that come on the venge, maybe sell them or just have them as spares. It is going to ride the ptap/Hed Belgium wheels that I have for training, and carbon tubulars for racing. My trusty old caad9 will live at my parent's as a spare/backup bike.

How much do you weigh? I would imagine you're pretty light, given your size, and with 28c/32c tires, 70/65 psi seems really really high.

About 135 lbs. According to some formulas I use, those pressures are correct for my weight.
