Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

wtf mate? 105 viewing?

we're gaining on the road forum...oy vey

and as i say this i worry.....what do y'all think of me

at what point does a poster get accepted to the bike forums single speed and fixed gear forum family?

do my witty antics and inctefull questions and responses amuse, inform, and entertain you?

im just wondering....because there are some people who seem to live here....other who post every once and a while....and others who just pop up here and there....and finally those 70ish people who are just reading....so how do we classify the "in" crowd?

hugs...max

Bikes: I built the Bianchi track bike back up today.

Can I be part of the in crowd, too?

Or maybe I should just put myself into invisible lurk mode. I seem to remember a button to do that somewhere...

Not quite.

On any given day, there usually is 2- 3 times as many people in Road Biking as on SS/Fixie. Usually, there are as many folks viewing Mtb as SS/Fixie, but sometimes more, sometimes less.

Better to compare against Mtb. Roadies will always be online in abundance.

when you know the backstory to some of the more common posters, you seem to be in here pretty good.

....but does it matter? Get out and ride, then you are really a part of the forum. This goes for everyone, after all an 8 page piss and moan section just makes us look like we are afraid of actually riding our bikes

Amen.

I waste all my work days in an office reading here. Come the weekends, I don't even want to check. I want to be on the road.

Maybe I'm "in" cause I'm out riding. Or maybe I'm not "in" at all.

But hey, I changed out a tube with an Armadillo tire yesterday in Rittenhouse Square. Maybe that'll give me some cool points?
