Bikes: 2 roadies, 7 fixed-gears, 1 hardtail, 1 full suspension mtb, and 1 hybrid...so far.
Fixed-gear number seven is complete.
I rebuilt the Lotus Elan totally. I reversed and cut down the handlebar to make short bullhorns. I attatched a suitable brake lever and wrapped the bar. I glued the new Alex tubular, Iro hubbed rear wheel. Up front is a Mavic Gel 280 rim laced to a Dura Ace hub. It has a new seatpost and a Brontrager saddle from the sales box. It's really hot!!! Gearing is 52/20t (70 gear inches.) I'll take pictures soon. :x
Thanks Rev. Chuck. I'll bring it by the shop and show you the final look soon.

A rain bike is indispensible.
I wouldn't mind having a bike with panniers... or a SS mtn bike either.
Of course I still have a few geared bikes as well... and my wife has 3 bikes...

I don't understand how you can disagree with how many bikes is right for me...but for the sake of discussion, here goes...
I have one bike. I ride it on sunny days. I ride it on rainy days. I ride it fast. I ride it slow. I ride it on streets. I ride it on trails. I ride it naked (referring to the bike, not myself). I ride it loaded (referring to the bike, as well as myself).
To be honest, I do (tehcnically) have a second bike; carbon fibre multigeared from my racing days. 'Lent' it to my dad 8 years ago because 2 bikes around the house was too many for me. Dont miss it.
