most beers are no good from a can or bottle, anyhow.
the only way i can drink a guinness or murphy's is on tap. but there's no real reason to have a guiness or a murphy's when you live in the best place for breweries in the u.s. ... the bigger ones are mactarnahan's (portland brewing), henry's widmer bros, bridgeport, full sail, etc etc. but if you're gonna drink a beer in a bottle or a can, can't go wrong with the cheap stuff. and that dr pepper concoction sounds alright. |
pbr is pure dog ****...ill stick to my black n tans thanks

Several extraneous points: 1. The oddest thing I have seen done to cheap beer is the addition of citrus fruit. 2. The Heil stands for Heilmanns...you have nothing to worry about. |

it helped that the local store had em for 10$/12-pk case... my friend and i took a truck to the store, and went home with 8 cases per person. it wasnt heaven..but it was pretty close :D lately i've been splitting my purchases 80/20 between hefeweizen and (american) brown ale... maybe i should diversify |
so, as a followup to my origional post:
I made it home after the party. I think I rode Moreland to McClendon to the bike path on Dekalb . I remember stopping off at another party I saw on Moreland and having at least one more drink. I'm officially known as "bike dude" to several people I don't know and will probably never see again (hopefully). so, I'm safe and home and sick as hell. I do remember someone mentioning a Dr. Pepper and I did the flaming shot glass in the beer thing. it was after that that I just started pouring the amaretto into my beer. If there had been cider there I wouldn't have had to take such drastic measures. Thanks Slartibartfast and South Fulcrum for showing concern. Enchantingwiz dropped by on sunday to make sure I was still alive. tim (the Lamb Sandwich) |
