Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Need Fixie Recommendation

Price is not a factor...just looking for advice on best companies/frames on the market.

I'm currently considering Mission or State.

Thank you!

Well, if you want a high quality frame and price really isn't a consideration...

https://22bicycles.com/products/little-wing

Or, for about half the price of a Little Wing...

(Really, the blue leggenda I posted in the "porn" thread starts at €1000)

For more reasonable prices? Well, what kind of frame are you looking for? Steel? Aluminium? Aggressive track geometry? Something laid back?

+1 for a Wabi. I'm on my second one.

What is your planned use for it (commuting, cruising down to the shops, racing)?
Do you want the option to run wide tyres (say 35's or greater)?
Do you want to be able to ride it on gravel and so want to be able to run CX tyres?
Do you want to be able to install a rack and panniers?

I'm really not sure what I want. I've owned a Bridgestone MB3 my whole life but it was stolen and I'm looking for a new bike. I live in San Antonio now and am looking for a nice city ride. Not very versed in road bikes but fixies seem very intriguing to me. I appreciate all your inputs as there are soooo many options out there these days. I want something fast/fun and stylish. I guess I'd like something that can do it all...possible?

Consider an On-One Pompino.
Inexpensive and fits into the "do most" category.
Can do most of what I asked above outside of track racing.

On-One Pompino V4 Frameset | On - One

If I was looking for what you seem to be looking for, I'd probably get an All-City.

Well, when I get mine in a couple months I'll report back. However, since that's not an advertised feature of the frame, I expect to be a bit disappointed on that front.

At whom is this directed? I plan to have a front brake. (the rear brake bridge has no hole)
