Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

From: all up in ya grill...
i got my stingray moving again, and decided last night that i should give riding a try again...
knee injury five months ago, surgery, blah blah...
i can't stand up to pedal without crippling pain, but the regular sitting position of the stingray seems to work fine for me as long as the ground's relatively flat...
so yeah, after five months of no riding, being on a bike again feels awesome... however my thighs hurt after about 20 seconds, but i figger that'll stop in a couple days...

and since i'm stoked:

home built by a friend, all i know is that the front end came from a raleigh road bike... but holding it next to my old roommate's real girl's sting ray it's damn near identical shape and angle wise... except mine's lugged...
