I would have bought a Renegade Elite if it came with Di2.

Jamis seems to have an amazing parts mix for the money. Lots of value across all their product lines.

Jamis is a bike company based out of NJ. Wish I knew how they offered the components they do for the money. Not the biggest name in bikes, but they do look pretty good!

Any specific things you're looking for?

It's your bike, that you ride. What do YOU want?

Opinions

Not sure wanted hear other's opinions . After all that is what foruums are about. Pisted a pic with my bike with bull horns and really not liking them. So instead goung out and buying something just wanted to know what others tend to recommend

You aren't providing enough info for anyone to make a comment.

What don't you like about them? Too wide? Too narrow? Too far forward. Not low enough? Not high enough. Wrong wrist/hand angle?

What change are you seeking?

phobus 05-16-18 12:06 PM

Here are some opinions for you.

Grant Petersen suggests mustache bars.

Eddy Merckx says to get classic deep drop bars.

Arnold says get to the choppa bahz.

Greg Lemond loves these:

Homeless guys on the street prefer this setup:

Really, though, there's no need to limit yourself to just one setup.

Hope this helps!

There's just no pleasing some people.

Think about how this could have gone differently if you had provided any information about what you were looking for when you asked your question.

This kind https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...0f69446bc5.png It is shaped like a modern art xylophone and when you move around on it your balls act like mallets and you can make a cool song.

Scrodzilla 05-16-18 09:28 PM

The internet is a wonderful, idiotic place that I both absolutely love and hate beyond comprehension in harmonious unison.

Loosen the bar clamp bolts on the stem and the brake lever clamps. Rotate the bar 90 degrees or so and try a Reversed Chop and Flop.

Here's the entire thread, enjoy.

For when you want a slammed stem but you actually need a Nitto Technomic.

Yeah, no.

VISP track bike.
Speaking of handlebars, what should I do with my VISP, now that my local track is closed and I will likely never again ride on a velodrome ? I will not ride any bike on the road w/o a front brake, so I will need to change the cockpit if I am going to use it on the road. I already have eight fixed gear road bikes with a front brake, three with drop bars and hooded levers, two with bullhorns and a cross lever and three with flat or riser bars. Since this bike used to be set up as a road TT racer, maybe I should just put the TT bars back on and add a brake caliper ?

Bandera 05-17-18 12:16 PM

Yep, I'd go full-on FG/TT config if I had a similar machine to contest the local TT series.
Did you do the full 40K distance in it's previous TT incarnation?

Yeah, that was the most usual distance, although some were shorter or longer. I wore a Camelbak rather carry water bottles.
