Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

OT: Post pics of your shop / work area

Can't recall if there is a thread like this already but if not..

Did a little cleaning today and I thought I'd snag a pic for shi-ts and giggles. Really stoked that I have rafters to be able to store bikes otherwise i'm sure things would be a lot more cluttered. I need to get a work stand.

Whatcha got?

God damn. Those rafters are clutch. I'm jealous about most of the content of this photograph.

Garage envy is real.

I have a lot less room since acquiring a couple welding machines, a steel table, a tool chest, and drill press. I can't wait for the day I have a real full sized shop space.

"Yes" on the Campy tool kit, but the vise is a cheap India knock-off

Neighbor helped put up the wire shelving a few weeks ago. African guy from Tanzania - he is the nicest guy you ever want to meet, came over and started helping just because. The house is on a slab and so there is no basement. The extra storage is really welcome.

A second black board for the bike tires is on the wall since the photo was taken. Anyone want to buy a hand built kayak?

I'm really good at finding reasons not to buy the parts it needs.

Carcosa, is that tall rack designed for something else or is it bike-specific?

MattoftheRocks Bike specific. One of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Delta-Michela...two+bike+stand

Not terribly solid, but works well for the money.
