Just measured the crown. It's only 12mm high. :/ --- which would leave me only 2mm on top/bottom around the 8mm recessed hole in the back. Seems kinda sketchy.
Also... thanks for bringing up the spacers. I would definitely need a bunch to clear the cup. Meh. Too much work. I'll just use my beater fork for now. --- and order a nice tange one for the future. Thanks for all the help. ✌️ SunTour Superbe is a very good sidepull, looks quite nice and can be found for not horrendous prices. But if you are going to have a fork made, you could have it made with more clearance and road geometry. More clearance would raise the head tube and lower the HT angle, allowing you to use more fork rake. All better for the road. Ben |

My road-going track bike that usually has clamp-on brake and water-bottle cage/s thanks me for not molesting it anywhere with a drill every time I ride it :D
|
Yeah I wouldn't drill that fork. Use the clamp-on.

Decided not to drill.
Put a beater fork on it for now. Till I find a nicer one. BLB has a nice chrome flat-crown fork that I can order through my LBS. Here it is all built up. :) http://i.imgur.com/GfdaCgIh.jpg |
Looking good. :thumb:
Also, lol, after all that, no drilling. |
Nice bike stand
