Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The funniest part of this thread was when Bikeophile called Sugino 75s a mid-range crank set. We aren't building $5,000 bikes here...

what's so funny about that? 75's aren't high end Campy Records, or Dura-Ace.
and they're certainly not crap.

I know, I know. I'm used to getting parts for cheap/free, so it makes me laugh when someone calls a $200 crank mid-range especially since most of us aren't millionaires and road bike elitists.

$200? business cycles has the sugino 75's for $140 (crankarms only). compare that to $229 for campy, $269 for dura-ace, and $239 for grand mighty arms.
