track bike sizing

OK so I'm looking to buy my first track bike. How does the sizing compare to road bike sizing? Is the seat tube shorter due to BB height? For ref i ride a 54-56 road bike.

Thank you as always for your advice.

BTW anyone have a cheap track frame they want to unload

seat tube is the same, you'll just be a little higher off the ground. you'll lose some stand over. some folks go small for track bikes on the road so you have a little more control over whipping the frame around.
