Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Road, mountain and track bikes and tandems.

I can tell you that it looks nice. The cranks look to have the older 144 bolt circle diameter chainrings, and may be expensive, if you decide that you would like other sizes. I have had track bikes for over fourty years now, and one thing that I have become addicted to that this bike does not have is rear facing adjuster screws for the rear axle/wheel.

Actually, 144mm bcd used to be the old road chainring standard and 151mm bcd was the track standard. They switched to the current 144mm track standard in the late 1970s, or about 40 years ago. My 1976 Schwinn Paramount P14 track bike has Campy Record Pista cranks with a 151mm bcd.

Thanks...

i am actually looking at a frameset only. i am in Taiwan now, and it goes for less than $300. Never ridden fixed/single gear, but it's gotta start somewhere right?

I saw the video...

...and visited the store already. the frameset is gorgeous, and only $300.
