cool, thanks! So this should mate to my JIS Sugino VP130 crank? Got a 118mm bb installed and the chainline is way off on a Kilo tt.

Bikes: Foundry Chilkoot Ti W/Ultegra Di2, Salsa Timberjack Ti, Cinelli Mash Work RandoCross Fun Time Machine, 1x9 XT Parts Hybrid, Co-Motion Cascadia, Specialized Langster, Phil Wood Apple VeloXS Frame (w/DA 7400), R+M Supercharger2 Rohloff, Habanero Ti 26

Check with the crank manufacturer to see what BB they recommend, that is generally how I go and it usually works quite well. VeloBase sometimes has that info. At least for Messenger cranks it is a 103mm spindle length but again double check. A JIS crank and BB will mate up fine just gotta think about spindle length.

Just for future reference, there’s no way anyone would be able to tell you what taper it is by those photos. You would need clear, well lit photo of the spindle ends, particularly the base, where the crank arm would butt up against when installed. Some calliper measurements would also be helpful.
