surly fixxer + generic hub
I'm converting my marin into a low-gear fixed. dumping derailleurs, rear hydraulic, cogs. the hub is generic, but it does take a shimano hyper-glide cassete — can anyone tell me if that is enough for the fixxer to work?
thanks.
thanks.

As far as I can tell: yes.
The fixxer works on any Shimano (and afaik: Shimano-compatible, since they're the same form-factor, just not made BY Shimano) cassette, aside from the "Silent Clutch" ones and certain Dura Ace ones.
At the very worst, you might have to do some filing & finagling to get it to fit perfectly, like thisguy.

thanks keith – just as I had feared. looks like I'll have to pony up for a new wheel, cause my LBS had problems in the past looking for compatible hub parts. anyone know where I can get a flip/flop hub laced 26" rims? IRO is the only place I know but tony doesn't respond to my emails for some reason.
