Has anyone converted their front wheel to quick release?

im hoping to buy a wabi bike and planning on upgrading the wheel set and would like to have quick release so I can easily remove it when locking it up. Just wondering how difficult is it to convert the front wheel? Any specific brand that’s good quality?

thanks

Wabi has quick release, it's as simple as buying and replacing

Thanks for the info.

I’m not getting any responses from Wabi. Hoping their quality doesn’t go down.

Try slipping skewers through the hollow axles...

Any decent LBS can sell you a 100mm front wheel quick release skewer assembly. Or you can find it on Ebay, Amazon etc.

The Wabi wheels have hollow axles that will accept a quick release skewer. The wheels are normally secured by bolts, which thread into the internally threaded axles, such that the axles do not extend beyond the dropouts. This allows the quick release to clamp the wheel against the dropout. Basically, there is no difference between a Wabi front wheel and what you'd find on a regular geared road bike.

they used to carry them , must be out of stock or they dont sell anymore.
Find a front wheel QR and ask them if its compatible , before you order them.

Any standard 100mm QR will work with the Wabi front wheel.
