Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

i have a dark purple pinarello with the all black 105 group which is currently out of commission due to a thrashed rear wheel (gonna work on that next week). and a blue trek 600 series with moustache bars, 8sp bar end shifters, old cook bros 22-32-42 triple, and an 11-32 9sp cassette. it's my second favorite bike right now (first fav being my pin.). i also just put the gears back on my trials/MTB. it still has the slicks, but that'll change soon enough.

i like gears. a lot.

This thread is too funny. Here's a bike I just built.

I still have the IRO and like it much better since I replaced the B123s for flipped n' chopped bullhorns.

Bikes: heh, like that info would fit here...

No digi pics, but I've been tooling 'round on a 1987 Masi Nuova Strada (I do love the Masis...) with full dura ace kit (except the headset, because the campy version was better in 1987 according the the guy I bought it from for WAY too little money a couple months back.)

This is making me miss my geared bike...

I had a pretty champagne Austro-Daimler roadie with full fenders that got stolen from my front yard, so now it's all fixed for me. Yes, it was pretty, but it was also punk as eff--dings all over the frame, mismatched components beer can handlebar shim. Sometimes I wish I could saddle up and bomb some hills on it again.

So yes, all fixed. Unless you count Oscar the Trash Bike, geared with a Sturmey Archer 3-speed.
